Regardless of your intention, visiting the clear water and awesome white sand is always a good idea.

  When in Aruba, you have to check out the gambling scene. It’s not Las Vegas, but Aruba does have a very strong undercurrent for this industry. Many of the top resorts on the island double as casinos. They aren’t huge and overpowering, either. You will feel comfortable gambling right by the sea in a free, easy atmosphere.

Music

  If you have ever been to the island, then you know that music is a huge part of the cultural fabric there. During Carnival, the month long celebration, you will experience some of the best that the island has to offer. There is also a heavy focus on music at the other cultural events. You won’t be able to miss it as you walk down the street, lounge on the beach, or head to a restaurant. Don’t hesitate to embrace all of the various styles presented here and you might just find that you really enjoy some of the offerings. If there is parade going on, don’t hesitate to get involved.

Food

  Like any island nation, Aruba has food that has the ability to make the trip worthwhile all on its own. There are restaurants on every corner and each one serves up the culture of Aruba in its own special way. Try a new dish and don’t be afraid to embrace your Caribbean soul. If you leave the island without trying some of the authentic, spicy food, then you will have missed out on one of the island’s best treats.

  No matter what you choose to do, Aruba will leave you wanting for more. It’s impossible to do it all, so don’t even try. Pick out a few things to exploit and make sure to make the most of them. You can always come back to the island a little bit later and finish the rest of what you didn’t get to see.
